PARANORMAL INVESTIGATOR
Weird stuff begins happening to Henrietta Heckes when her
family moves to the creepy seaport of Spouke's Hollow, Maine.
First Henrietta is drawn to a strange gravestone known as the Black
Angel. Then she sees the ghost of a
boy dressed in Depression-era cap and britches around town.
Finally Henrietta's schoolmates dare her to enter the old Rizo house at
midnight, where she comes face to face with sorrowful skeletal specters from a
century-old shipwreck.
It turns out Henrietta is a medium! She can talk to ghosts
and borrow paranormal energy from the spirit world that exists alongside the
world of the living. Moving to
Spouke's Hollow (better known by the locals as "Spooks" Hollow) has
ignited Henrietta's paranormal abilities.
It has also brought her to the attention of the malevolent wrath of a
former Spooks Hollow medium named Moraine Edwards.
With the help of new friends Tim Dobbert (the ghost boy),
Annelouise Chang, Will Joens, and the mysterious shopkeeper Mr. Atticus,
Henrietta must explore the creepiest parts of Spooks Hollow and decipher clues
from the town’s ghostly past if she hopes to stop Moraine’s supernatural
threat and come to the aid of the skeletal crew.

HEX, PARANORMAL INVESTIGATOR is coming from a new imprint of Komikwerks,
ACTIONOPOLIS, a line of heavily illustrated prose books with
adventure stories aimed at young readers and created by some of the best writers
and artists working in comics and animation.
Actionopolis
(www.actionopolis.com) will release two books a month beginning in July. The
books are all hardcover serials, and each book is heavily illustrated with more
than 40 illustrations throughout each work. Komikwerks distribution is by PGW for
the book trade and Diamond distributors for the specialty market.
