LIZZIE McGUIRE meets THE ADAMS FAMILY.
Even urban myths love their children.
So when it’s time for the young ‘uns of ghetto witches, brown-field
werebeasts, city park poltergeists, skyscraper bat-men, sewer ghouls, and
landfill dwellers to get educated, they are sent to prestigious Spring-heel’d
Jack Academy. Situated in a
derelict Gothic factory complex next to the city’s mountainside lake (around
and in which the city’s “crypts” or cryptozoological creatures hang), SJA
is open for business every weeknight except for holidays like Hallowe’en and Walpurgisnacht. Despite
being a tad weird, kids like J.C. Posthumous, Lil’ Mortiz, Umber Jammer,
Torbor Arkimstone, and Raven Dee have the same problems as any other school-age
children, albeit with a twisted twist:
---plain
Umber is desperate to get a dashing boy who lives in moonbeams to notice her
---first
day of school jitters keep causing Raven Dee to vanish out of her classes into
other classrooms
----struggling
scholar J.C. is petrified about a new tyrannical teacher who has a reputation
for literally biting the heads off students who get an “F” on tests
----Lil’ Mortiz and Torbor, were-kids too young to
transform into anything but rodents and birds, get sent to detention where an
alley cat gang bullies them
